Angels Camp celebrates its past

The Living History Days celebration is behind us again. Such a wonderful experience it has been for me. Dozens of people put in hundreds of hours to make this 14 +/- hour event go smoothly. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, on Saturday, May 8, 1999, Angels Camp celebrated our towns annual Living History Days. You can see a schedule here. It wasn't the final schedule. Lynda Key-Tusoni of Goldrush World Access and Kate Shackley of Leather Rose, the Angels Camp Business Association presidents, put this event together with the liberal help of the of Angels Camp Boosters, led by Buck King, General Manager of Frog Jump. I did some of the work, some members did more work than I did, such as Chuck Duffy of Country Cloth Shop. One thing that I heard over and over is that almost the entire membership was working. I have always belonged to associations and trade groups. A common complaint is that a few of the members do most of the work. This may be the first time in history where everyone helped, thanks!
