Living History Days roars into town again as usual on the second Saturday of May, the 11th, beginning at about 2:00PM with the business persons frog jump in the parking lot of the new visitors center at the corner of Hardscrabble.

Tentative Events - check back for changes

  • Gunfights throughout the day by Sierra Nevada Guns For Hire
  • Mark Twain will be on hand to tell his tales
  • Wine by the glass $3, provided by Calaveras Wine Association
  • Budweiser and Bud Light - $2.00 per glass
  • 2pm to 3pm - Businessman's Frog Jump
  • 2pm to 5pm -
    • gold panning
    • Plenty of food and beverages
    • much more . . .
  • 5 - 7 pm The day culminates with a Roast Pork and Tri-Tip Dinner with street dancing long into the evening, music by Stone Corral. Presented by the Angels Camp Business Association - tickets are $10, $5 for kids 12 and under, and available from downtown businesses. Limited number of tickets will be sold, so don't miss out, get yours in advance.
  • Super Raffle - huge list of prizes there will be a list at the visitors center. Raffle winners need not be present to win. $1 each or 6 for $5, get your tickets now. Available at Middletons and other Angels Camp merchants.

Many of the activities aren't finalized yet.
